Brigida Luján is a professional flamenco dancer with an MA in dance and twelve years teaching experience. She has performed on stages throughout the U.S. and in Spain. Brigida was on the dance faculty at the Santa Fe Community College for five years teaching both flamenco and jazz dance. She has also taught at the National Conservatory of Flamenco in Albuquerque, Institute for Spanish Arts in Santa Fe, University of New Mexico and the National Hispanic Cultural Center, in addition to workshops in various cities nationally. She is the director of Dulce Flamenco Internacional.

Julia has performed in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, and throughout the US. She has appeared with Inmaculada Ortega, Miguel Angel Rojas, the Greco Family, Lydia Torea, Antonio Granjero, Omayra Amaya, plus others and has been a soloist in the companies of María Benítez and Carlota Santana. She has performed and taught professionally for over 10 years and has a BFA in dance.

Classes are offered year round in three sessions: Fall, Spring and Summer. Spring session is currently in and the dates it runs are Jan. 10-May 18th.

Festival Flamenco Internacional de Alburquerque is a eight day summer intensive program that will have 29 different workshops to learn from. The festival dates are June 10-19, 2005.

Bio: Sara de Luz began dancing at the age of seven and after years of training in jazz, tap, ballet and modern, she found in flamenco the true expression of her soul. Eva Encinias Sandoval and Pablo Rodarte burned awesome flamenco technique into her being, while guitarist Eric Patterson taught her the secrets of flamenco music. Sara went on to study flamenco in Spain, and stays current with the latest flamenco forms when Spain comes to Albuquerque every year in the form of Festival Flamenco. A founding member of Alma Flamenca, Dance España, and Airdance New Mexico, she has performed with Teo Morca as well as other flamenco masters in the U.S. Sara currently teaches at Farfesha Studios and Dance Theatre Southwest. Teo Morca teaches at the Taos Academy of Dance Arts ("TADA") in Taos.

He will be offering classes and workshops in Flamenco on all levels, in both technique and repertoire and monthly "charlas" discussions on all facets of flamenco and Spanish Dance. Also, Castanet classes and workshops will be offered, gearing up to Classical Spanish choreographies.
